According to ESPN, Makur Maker has submitted paperwork to see if he’s eligible for the 2020 NBA Draft.
Per the report:
In order to be eligible for the draft, the NBA requires players to be 19 years of age during the draft calendar year and have at least one season pass since graduating high school. Maker believes he’ll be eligible as he’ll turn 19 in November and is one year removed from his original graduating class. He’s currently enrolled at Pacific Academy in Irvine, Calif. for a fifth year of high school.
Maker, who is ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit by 247Sports’ composite rankings, was two credits shy of graduating from Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, Calif. during the 2018–19 season. He’ll need to submit his high school transcripts to the NBA in order to petition for his inclusion.
In the meantime, the 18-year-old is considering scholarship offers from USC, Oregon and Howard where he recently took an official visit last weekend.
