Apollo Crews and Big E’s feud took an interesting turn. The two men will now face each other in a Nigerian Drum Fight at WrestleMania 37 for Big E’s Intercontinental Championship.

In today’s edition, we will talk about Crews’ recent push in WWE and if a top star was responsible for it. This article will also take a look at why a former champion is unhappy with his position on SmackDown, among other interesting topics.

#5 Daniel Bryan responsible for Cesaro being pushed on SmackDown

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that despite rumors which imply Daniel Bryan is behind the recent pushes of Apollo Crews and Cesaro, the actual situation might be a little different.

While SmackDown star Daniel Bryan has admitted that he put in a word for 40-year-old Cesaro to finally get a big push in WWE, he reportedly had no role to play in Crews being prominently featured on SmackDown.

Cesaro has received a lot of success in WWE as a tag team specialist. But it wasn’t until now that he got the spotlight shining on him as a singles superstar.

Cesaro holds two clean victories over former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. The Swiss Cyborg will now face a big test against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 37.

#4 Paige’s thoughts on reading a love letter to SmackDown Superstar Roman Reigns

Paige recently spoke to Renne Paquette on the Oral Sessions podcast and discussed her “embarrassing” promo class with SmackDown’s Roman Reigns during their time in FCW in 2010. During a hilarious instance, Paige was told by Dusty Rhodes to break up with Reigns, then known as Leakee, for stealing her toaster.

Paige joked about how awkward and embarrassing the incident was for her at the time. But it was even more embarrassing when she was asked to read a “love letter” to Reigns the following week.

#3 Sheamus’ genuine message to SmackDown Superstar Cesaro

In the latest episode from WWE’s “The Day Of” series, Sheamus got emotional while talking to his former tag team partner Cesaro. Sheamus was praised backstage after his grueling match against Drew McIntyre at Fastlane.

The former WWE Champion spoke about his passion for the business in an emotional backstage moment. He then had a heartfelt message for SmackDown star Cesaro.

Cesaro will fight Seth Rollins on Night One of WrestleMania 37, while Sheamus will face Riddle for the United States Championship on Night Two of the pay-per-view.

#2 Murphy frustrated with his position on SmackDown

Former cruiserweight champion Murphy has lost all the momentum he gained last year on SmackDown. Following his program with The Mysterio family and Seth Rollins, fans believed big things would be in store for him in WWE.

Unfortunately, WWE had no creative plans for Murphy on SmackDown and he slipped into obscurity on the blue brand. Even though Murphy tried to reignite the fire by posting an Instagram message targeting Rey Mysterio, he was asked to take it down.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that SmackDown’s Murphy is not happy with WWE right now.

#1 SmackDown Superstar Seth Rollins’ emotional message to Brock Lesnar

SmackDown’s Messiah Seth Rollins recently posted a story on Instagram with the caption: “I Miss Brock.” The story captures the final moments from their match at WrestleMania 35 when Rollins beat Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

It is hard to tell if Rollins was being sarcastic or if he genuinely missed Lesnar’s presence in WWE.

Brock Lesnar has been out of action since WrestleMania 36. Even though it was believed that he would return in time for WrestleMania 37, that has not been the case so far.
